Pevensey Bay for after work session ...got there and was very surprised to find was offshore, no-one about, kiters had headed for seaford .... sea flat as flat can be, and it was nice and sunny so I got the windy out (while talking to RichC on the beach at Shoreham via the mobile) and it showed winds varying from 4-15 knots .... errr .... whatever, rigged the 8.5m & hyper-X 130 and went for it .... got planing a few times in short bursts, wind shifted from offshore to cross off (NW-W) so used the offshore direction to head uptide/upwind, and played. Non-planing freestyle type excuses for getting wet, duck gybes (not so easy with 8.5m rig), helitacks, sail & body 360, nose-sink tacks (easy to sink nose on hyper-x), clew first stuff, cowboy (total failure !) and general floating about chilling out in the nice weather ... would have had more fun had it been windier, but wouldn't have had any fun if i'd just sat on the beach staring out to sea longingly
